Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actress, comedian and activist Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents Her career began as a child actress shortly after immigrating to the United States. In AT&T commercials she played the character of Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 until 2016 and into until 2020. She was also a frequent series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and was a regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub was originally cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, has been voiced that role since. Vayntrub, an Jewish person, was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. Her parents and she fled antisemitism when she was two years old. They moved to the U.S. with their children. Her family's financial difficulties led to her acting in Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. But, she was kicked out of her sophomore year and earned a GED. After that she went on to earn an Associate of Arts Degree in Communication from University of California San Diego. Through the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied improv comedy.
